TravelSmart Protection includes either an instant refund in Travala.com travel credits, or an assisted refund. The specific resolution available to you depends on when our third-party service provider learns of the flight disruption (the ‘notified time’), relative to the scheduled departure of the first affected flight.
If the notified time is more than five (5) hours before scheduled departure:
For an itinerary with a single airline reference PNR: you will be entitled to an instant refund in Travala.com travel credits equivalent to the booking price.

For an itinerary with multiple airline reference PNRs (virtual interlining): you will be entitled to an instant refund in Travala.com travel credits equal to the cost of the best available alternative flight to your destination.
If the notified time is less than five (5) hours before scheduled departure:
Regardless of your itinerary type, you will be entitled to an instant refund in Travala.com travel credits equal to the cost of the best available alternative flight to your destination.
Under either disruption scenario noted above, you also have the option to request an ‘assisted refund’. We will request a refund from the airline(s) on your behalf. The refund amount, method (e.g., cash, credit, or voucher), and processing time depend on the airline’s terms, policies and applicable laws. While we will do our best, we cannot guarantee the outcome or form of such refund.
