TravelSmart Protection is a unique paid service offered on flight bookings to protect you in the event of changes or cancellations caused by the carrier.
TravelSmart Protection can only be purchased at the time of booking your trip — it's not possible to purchase later.
It covers passengers in these situations:
- There is a cancellation of the trip or part of it;
- There is an involuntary airport change of any flight in the itinerary (with more than one PNR in the itinerary, i.e. must have connecting flights); or
- There is a delay or schedule change causing insufficient time for a layover.
It doesn't cover passengers in case of a Force Majeure situation that is beyond our or the carrier’s control, nor in cases where they can't travel or miss their trip because of their own fault.
It also doesn't cover passengers if they change the trip or contact details directly with the carriers without our knowledge and approval. For example, TravelSmart Protection will be lost if passengers add checked baggage to a no-checked-bag itinerary.
